"Ear" we go again!!

Well as if we hadn't had enough fun with Stratton's ears we decided to give it one more shot. He went in again for a third surgery. This time they cut into his inner ear to see if they could find the previous tube they put in. The Doctor said when he cut in that puss just came pouring out. He said it was pretty bad. He didn't have any luck finding tube number 2. So he removed the adnoids and then went back and put in new tubes. This go around was a little rougher than the first two. As soon as we walked into the hospital he knew where we were and he knew he did not want to be there. He just started crying and saying "bye-bye." It was pretty sad but it only got worse from there. They had to get some blood and that was not fun and that only made him more mad. By the time we got into the room of surgery he was upset. They ended up having to give him some Verset to calm him down. That works great but is very upsetting to me. He goes into almost a drunken like state and he was happy and calm but I sure hate watching it overtake my kids body! The pictures say it all. You can tell when he is doped up because he is looking mighty happy!! But alas we made it through and up to this point have not had any more problems. We are hoping that this was the end to our surgeries and our ear problems ( our checkbook is sure hoping so too!!) He was a trooper and has been through a lot in is little life. He might be a pain most of the time but we love him and can't imagine our life without him!!
