Play Day with Nana!!

Nana wanted to take the kids to the zoo and to Kenecott. Having a lack of time we decided to cram it all into one fun filled day and that it was. We left early in the morning and headed up to the zoo. This was Stratton's first trip to the zoo. (I know that makes me a horrible parent but he really has got to do lot's of fun things). He was so excited to go and the entire way up he talked about all he wanted to see was the dinosaurs and the giraffes. Well we lucked out because it happened to be "zoorassic park" going on so the first thing we saw when we got there was a dinosaur. Stratton had no idea they were not real. It was so funny and I being the mom that I am didn't tell him they were fake. He was terrified. He wouldn't get close for a picture. We had a fun time seeing all the animals and riding the train. We had lunch there and the meal was complete with their animal drink bottles (you know those ones you beg your parents for when you were younger and you never got! I guess that is why you have grandparents. They buy you all the stuff your mom and dad won't!!) After the zoo we went up to Kenecott. The kids loved it just as much as the zoo. We even lucked out and got to be there when they blasted the mountainside. It was a fun day and we all had a great time! Thanks Nana for our fun day!
