Well our long awaited swim lessons have finally come and almost gone! We have had a pretty slow summer with not too much happening so we have been on the countdown for swim lessons. This year I enrolled the kids in private lessons instead of going to the public pool. It was the best investment I made. They were already farther along on day one than they were after two weeks at the city pool! They go to a house a few blocks from us. It is a gorgeous pool and back yard. They have three teachers and they are wonderful. They even get to take them with the Young's. What could be better. On day two they were going off the diving board and making big progress. Today Dax did the diving board. He was so nervous but I promised him that if he did it we could go and get a shaved ice and I would put his picture on the computer. Well he did it with a little help from the teachers but he went three times! He is doing great. We have now even been able to move from the bathtub to the shower. We can finally have a little water on our face and still function! Yeah for swim lessons!! Brooklynn is a pretty darn good little swimmer with not much fear of the water. If we can just get her to float on her back we would be set! It's a good thing we will be going to Park City next week so we can practice everything we have learned. As for Sumo well he hasn't dove into the pool yet but there is still one more day! We have managed to keep him dry but that is no easy feat. He has a love hate relationship with the water. He wants in so bad until he is in and then he wants out! We can't wait to see how he will be in a few years!
