We had another great Christmas this year and despite Stratton being on the "naughty" list Santa still made it to our house! We spent Christmas Eve day up at the Houtz family for the traditional party. It was fun eating, visiting, sledding and opening presents. Granny and Grandpa spoil us every year. We love our day up there. After the cabin we left to go meet my family at the cemetary. We went and put luminaries on all of my grandparents graves and then drove and looked at the lights around Salem pond. Then we headed over to Nana and Papa's house for some good eating. We ate and played games there for a while. The kids got to open their Christmas pajamas then we made our way home. Luckily it was late and the kids were worn out from all our fun so they went straight to bed but not without leaving Santa a treat. The next morning they were up at 7:00 ready to roll. We had to stall them a bit why we waited for Papa and Nana to get there. They were excited to see what Santa brought. After 2 years of asking Brooklynn and Dax both got Nintendo DS's. They were very excited. Stratton was most excited about the container of Nestle Quick that Santa left him. We opened presents and then made a yummy breakfast. Later that day Grandma and Papa came over to see what the kids got. They stayed and hung out for a while and then we went over to Nana and Papa's for dinner and presents. That was a little chaotic to say the least. I think all the grandkids had their presents opened in 2 minutes flat. It was a great 2 days filled with lot's of food, family and fun! We are so blessed to live by our families and get to share the Holidays with them.
